Yes. Send a brief or a voice recording to one of the producers Mousikē selects for custom work, agree a price and a delivery date, and pay Mousikē. If Mousikē cannot deliver the work, you are refunded.

Mousikē works with producers and artists from Rwanda, across Africa and in the diaspora. Every producer is verified before their music goes on sale, and every song is reviewed before it is published.

Mousikē is a music company working out of Kigali, Rwanda. We build the place where the people who make African music and the people who need it can find each other, and we stay close to both sides of that.

The name is the old Greek word for music — the whole art of it, not a product. That is the size of the thing we are interested in.

Everything here starts with something somebody made. Our job is to carry it further than it would travel on its own, not to stand in front of it.

African music is not a category

It is not a section at the back of somebody else’s catalogue. It is where we are from, what we listen to, and the whole of what we work on.

The people who make it should be known

Producers and artists are named, credited and paid. A beat that ends up in somebody’s record is still theirs, and so is the work that went into it.

Anyone can listen

You should be able to hear what is here without an account, a trial or a wall. Music is chosen by ear, and nobody chooses what they have not heard.
