The rules for listening, buying, licensing and publishing on Mousikē, in plain language.

1. Who you are dealing with
Mousikē is a music platform operated by Biligeti Ltd, Norrsken Kigali House, Kigali, Rwanda ("Mousikē", "we"). When you buy music, a license or custom work on Mousikē, you buy it from Mousikē, and every payment is made to Mousikē through our own payment provider.
The producers and artists whose music appears here work with Mousikē. You do not contract with them directly, and Mousikē is responsible for what it sells to you.
2. Your account
Give accurate details and keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
One person, one account. An account can buy, publish songs and run a producer studio, as its roles allow.
You must be at least 18 to buy or to publish, or have the consent of a parent or guardian.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, puts others at risk or is used for fraud. We tell you why, unless the law prevents it.
3. Listening
Browsing and listening are free and need no account. Track previews carry an audible tag; full files are delivered only with a license.
4. Buying music
Prices are in US dollars. Where offered, you can pay in Rwandan francs at the rate shown at checkout, which is fixed on your order when payment starts.
Each track has one price and is sold once, to one buyer. When it is sold, it leaves sale and no one else can buy it.
Buying a track gives you the usage terms shown on it before you buy, including the files you receive. Anything those terms do not grant is not granted, and buying does not transfer ownership of the music or its copyright.
Your rights are personal to you and cannot be transferred or resold.
Files unlock in your library once the payment is confirmed and are downloaded through links that expire. Keep your own copies.
5. Payments
Payments are processed by Mousikē’s payment provider. We do not see or store your full card or mobile money credentials; we receive the result of the payment.
Refunds are covered by our refund policy, which forms part of these terms.
6. Custom work
Custom work is made by producers Mousikē selects. You agree the scope, price and delivery date in the request, and pay Mousikē. If Mousikē cannot deliver the work, you are refunded. When a delivery is disputed, a Mousikē reviewer decides between approving it and refunding you, and that decision is final on the platform.
7. Producers and artists
Upload only music, artwork and material you own or have the right to use, and never someone else’s work.
You allow Mousikē to store, stream, preview, promote and license what you publish, as your agreement with Mousikē and these terms describe.
Mousikē pays producers directly under their agreement with Mousikē. Earnings shown in the studio are information about your share of sales; Mousikē does not hold money on your behalf, and there is no balance or wallet to withdraw.
Songs are reviewed before they are published, and Mousikē may decline, suspend or remove content that breaks these terms or the law.
8. What is not allowed
Infringing anyone’s copyright or other rights, or uploading music you do not control.
Copying, recording or redistributing previews or files outside what a license allows, or trying to get around previews, tags or download links.
Harassment, fraud, false information, or anything that disrupts Mousikē or other people’s use of it.
9. Our responsibility
We work to keep Mousikē available and your files safe, but the service is provided as it is, and we cannot promise it will always be uninterrupted. To the extent the law allows, Mousikē is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for a purchase is limited to what you paid for it. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under Rwandan consumer law.
10. Changes and law
We may update these terms as Mousikē develops, and we show the date of the latest version above. Significant changes are announced on the site or by email before they apply.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Rwanda, and the courts of Kigali have jurisdiction.
